Is That Supercat?
Is That Supercat?
A funny rhyming superhero picture book, ages 3–7
He’s fluffy. He’s orange. He wears a paper bag on his head. Is he a superhero… or just a very silly cat?
When a buzzing fly zooms past, Pizza turns into a crouching, prowling, whisker-twitching hunter… and misses! But he doesn’t give up. Inspired by the heroes on TV, he makes a mask out of an old blue bag, tries out a few hero names and becomes the fluffiest crime-fighter in the house. Will he catch those pesky flies?
Bouncy rhymes, big laughs and a sweet message: when things don’t go your way, be brave, get creative and try again. At the back: fun cat facts, a cat body language guide and a fill-in passport for your own cat.
Written by Barbara Pinke, illustrated by Alvin Adhi. Book 2 of Purrific Tales, after My Cat Is Like That.

About the series
Pizza first appeared in My Cat Is Like That, a gold-medal rhyming book about everyday cat life. Is That Supercat? is his second adventure, and kids can enjoy it without reading the first book. The real Pizza lives with Barbara in Germany. He’s missing half of his left ear, but just like Supercat, he doesn’t let it slow him down.
